We stayed two nights at the house and were very happy. The apartment is quite spacious, has two bedrooms and a lot of space for suitcases and clothes, which was very useful for us. The kitchen is fully equipped, has lots of cooking utensils, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker and basic things like oil, salt, pepper and coffee.

The internet is extremely fast and stable (500 Mbps), the air conditioning works well and in general the place is comfortable and clean. Also very positive is that it has a washing machine and a very good bathroom, with a jacuzzi tub. The courtyard at the back is quiet and nice to sit, especially in the evening.

The location is very central, has restaurants and mini markets nearby and because it is on the ground floor the access is quite easy.

Everything was very comfortable and clean. We loved it!! The self check-in process was quick and hassle-free, allowing us to settle in without any delays. I stayed with my wife and we really felt at home during our stay .

George the owner was welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. His warmth made our stay even more enjoyable, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout our visit.

We especially appreciated the attention to detail in the organization of the space. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged, which contributed to a seamless experience.

Video tribute to Nea Iraklitsa

The wind-up team page made a tribute to Nea Iraklitsa. Nea Iraklitsa in the prefecture of Kavala, as we said, is a seaside settlement.

It was founded by refugees from Eastern Thrace in 1924, when 102 families settled there.

It is located 13 kilometers west of Kavala. Nea Iraklitsa is famous for its picturesque harbor and its beach, with its many taverns.

The beach of Nea Iraklitsa, called “alana”, has a beach bar and volleyball courts. The beach was awarded the blue flag for the first time in 2007 and is considered one of the best in the Kavala prefecture. There are also organized parking lots, a sailing club and 5×5 courts. One of the main attractions is the church of Panagia Faneromeni, where the miraculous Icon of the Great Grace is located, which according to tradition was painted by the Evangelist Luke.

The Kara of Saint Charalambos the Hieromartyr is also kept. The church celebrates the nine days of the Theotokos, when a great celebration is held in the village. At the location “Aetoplagias” is the cave of the Nymphs, with findings from prehistoric and historical times. At the location Sitzak Dere, there are two towers from the classical – Hellenistic period.

Opposite Nea Iraklitsa are the islets of Fidonisi, which is privately owned, and Arethousa, rocky islets that were once an island. It is a place near Kavala that will take your imagination, with its morphology, to an Aegean island, with clean beaches, clear turquoise waters and everything that one needs to have a carefree and beautiful vacation.
