Thassos is the northernmost of the Aegean islands and is located a breath away from Kavala. It is a lush green island with beautiful beaches and dozens of tourist settlements.

It has two ports, one in Limenas Thassos which is the main port of the island and one in Skala Prinos and there are itineraries for both ports. Choose the ideal itinerary and the port that serves you.

Distance of Thassos from Kavala

There are two ways to get to Thassos.

One is to take a ferry from Keramoti* ​​Kavala to Limenas, where the distance is 8 nautical miles (14 km) and the trip takes 30-45 minutes.

The other is to take a ferry from the port of Kavala to Skala Prinos, where the distance is 17 nautical miles (31 km) and the journey takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Frequency of Routes

There are daily routes that make the trip Keramoti Kavala – Limenas Thassos and vice versa – usually every half hour or one hour.

The first routes start at 5:00 in the morning while the last ones are around 23:00 in the evening.

From the port of Kavala to Skala Prinos there are approximately 5 routes daily.
